Last updated: 14/10/2026
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this Website, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights available to you.
01Who we are and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how goAML Registration (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit https://goamlregistration.ae/ (the “Website”), contact us or use our services.
We are an independent consultancy that supports businesses in the United Arab Emirates with goAML registration and related AML/CFT compliance matters. We are not the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (UAE FIU) or any other government authority. Information you submit on this Website is sent to us, not to the UAE FIU.
02Personal data we collect
Information you give us. When you complete our contact form or email us, we collect the details you provide, such as:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your phone number, including the country code;
- your message and any other information you choose to include.
Information for client engagements. If you engage us, we may ask for documents needed for goAML registration, such as a trade licence, an authorisation letter and identification details of the appointed Compliance Officer/MLRO (for example, passport, residence visa and Emirates ID copies). We will explain how this information is handled as part of the engagement.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, technical information may be collected through cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time spent on pages and the website that referred you.
Information used for security. Our forms may use spam-protection tools, such as a CAPTCHA, which may process technical information about your device and how you interact with the form.
03How we use personal data
We use personal data to:
- respond to your enquiries and requests;
- provide, manage and invoice the services you ask us to perform;
- communicate with you about your enquiry or engagement;
- understand how the Website is used and improve its content and performance;
- protect the Website and our forms against spam, fraud and misuse;
- comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not use the details you submit through our contact form to send you marketing messages unless you have asked us to or agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
04Legal basis for processing
We process personal data only where this is permitted under applicable data protection law, including, where applicable, Federal Decree-Law No. (45) of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. Depending on the situation, we rely on:
- your consent, for example when you submit an enquiry or accept optional cookies;
- the need to take steps at your request before entering into an engagement, or to perform an engagement with you;
- compliance with legal obligations that apply to us;
- other grounds permitted by applicable law.
05How we share personal data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only where needed, with:
- service providers who help us run the Website and our business, such as website hosting, form and email delivery services, analytics, spam protection and content delivery networks used to load fonts and website features;
- professional advisers, such as lawyers, auditors and accountants, where reasonably necessary;
- authorities, where we are required to do so by law, regulation, court order or a competent authority.
Where you ask us to assist with goAML registration, we use your information to prepare or complete that registration with the UAE FIU on your instructions. Our service providers may only use personal data to provide services to us and must protect it appropriately.
06Cookies and analytics
The Website uses cookies and similar technologies to make it work properly, keep it secure, remember preferences and understand how visitors use it. Some cookies are set by third-party services, such as analytics and spam-protection providers.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Website works. Our Cookie Policy provides more information about the cookies we use.
07International transfers
Some of our service providers may store or process personal data outside the United Arab Emirates. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the transfer is permitted under applicable law and that your personal data receives an appropriate level of protection.
08How long we keep personal data
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for a reasonable period and then deleted or anonymised.
Client records may be kept for longer where required by applicable law, including record-keeping requirements under UAE laws, or where needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
09How we protect personal data
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. These include secure website connections, access controls and limiting access to people who need it.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. Please do not send passwords, authentication codes, Google Authenticator secret keys or sensitive suspicious-transaction reporting information through our website forms or ordinary email.
10Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- ask for access to the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to delete your personal data;
- ask us to restrict or stop certain processing, or object to it;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
- ask for a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity before responding. Some rights may be limited where we must keep information to meet legal obligations. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the competent data protection authority in the UAE.
11Children’s privacy
The Website and our services are intended for businesses and professionals. They are not directed at people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
12Third-party websites
The Website may link to other websites, such as the UAE FIU, UNODC and our social media pages. Those websites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them. Please review their privacy notices before sharing personal data with them.
13Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, Website operations or applicable legal requirements. The updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Where required, we will provide appropriate notice or obtain consent.
