Editorial Policy

Last updated: 14/10/2026

At goAML Registration, we want every page you read to be accurate, clear and useful. This policy sets out the standards we follow when we create, review and update our content.

01Purpose of this policy

This Editorial Policy explains how goAML Registration (“we”, “us”, “our”) researches, writes, reviews and updates the content published on https://goamlregistration.ae/ (the “Website”).

Our aim is to give businesses in the United Arab Emirates clear, accurate and practical information about goAML registration and AML/CFT reporting, so they can understand their obligations and know when to seek further help.

02The content we publish

This policy applies to all editorial content on the Website, including:

  • blog articles and practical guides;
  • goAML Terms and glossary entries;
  • frequently asked questions (FAQs);
  • explanations of UAE AML/CFT laws, regulations and FIU guidance;
  • sector pages for businesses that must register on goAML.

03Who writes and reviews our content

Our content is prepared by people with practical experience in AML/CFT compliance, goAML registration and regulatory reporting in the UAE.

Before publication, content is reviewed for accuracy, clarity and consistency with current UAE law and official guidance. Content that explains legal requirements, deadlines or penalties receives an additional check of the legal references it relies on.

04Sources we rely on

We base our content on primary and official sources wherever possible, including:

  • UAE federal laws, Cabinet Resolutions and other legislation published by official UAE government sources;
  • guidance, notices and user materials issued by the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (UAE FIU);
  • guidance issued by UAE supervisory authorities for financial institutions, DNFBPs and VASPs;
  • publications of international bodies such as UNODC and the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Where we refer to secondary sources, we use reputable publications and check key facts against the original source. We do not rely on unverified forums or social media posts as a basis for regulatory information.

05Accuracy and fact-checking

We aim to make every statement accurate, specific and supported by a reliable source. In particular, we:

  • check law names, article numbers and dates against the official text;
  • make clear when a law has been repealed or replaced, for example where Federal Decree-Law No. (20) of 2018 has been replaced by Federal Decree-Law No. (10) of 2025;
  • describe goAML report types, registration steps and portal processes as they are published by the UAE FIU;
  • avoid exaggerated claims and explain uncertainty where official guidance is unclear or still developing.

06Keeping content up to date

UAE AML/CFT laws, regulations and FIU processes change from time to time. We review our content regularly and update it when laws, official guidance or goAML procedures change.

Where an update materially changes the meaning of an article, we revise the content and may show an updated date. Older content that can no longer be kept accurate may be updated, clearly marked as outdated or removed.

07Independence and objectivity

We are an independent consultancy. We are not the UAE FIU, a supervisory authority, a government entity or UNODC, and our content does not represent their official views.

Our editorial content aims to inform first. Where a page also describes our services or invites you to contact us, this is kept separate from the factual information. If any content is sponsored or is published because of a commercial relationship, we will say so clearly.

08Use of technology and AI tools

We may use research, editing and AI tools to help us gather information, organise drafts or improve readability. These tools never replace human judgement.

All content is reviewed, fact-checked and approved by our team before it is published, and our team remains responsible for everything that appears on the Website.

09Information, not legal advice

Our content is provided for general information only. It is not legal, regulatory or professional advice tailored to your circumstances, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for such advice.

For decisions about your own obligations, please consult the relevant authorities or obtain appropriate professional advice. Our Terms and Conditions explain this in more detail.

10Corrections and feedback

We welcome feedback that helps us keep our content accurate. If you believe something on the Website is incorrect, out of date or unclear, please email [email protected] with the page address and the details of your concern.

We review every correction request. Where we confirm an error, we correct it promptly and, for significant corrections, may note that the content has been updated.

11Changes to this Editorial Policy

We may update this Editorial Policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we create content or in applicable requirements. The latest version will always be published on this page with its updated date.
